Makeup for Film & TV 101 (Course #Mu111.A1) 40 Hours

This hands-on course will enhance your makeup knowledge, and introduce professional conduct, expectations, and protocols for Film and TV. Students will learn new techniques necessary to begin working as a makeup artist on movie sets. Topics include makeup for high definition, makeup through the decades, neutral definition, the subtlety of color, the art of blending, proper tools of application, and much more. (Prerequisite: Prior Makeup experience preferred)

Makeup for Film & TV 202 (Course #Mu112.A1) 80 Hours

This course builds on the skills, principles, and techniques covered in Makeup for Film & TV 101. Students will be further introduced to advanced makeup applications that will be used on Set. This course will teach innovative airbrushing, scarring, bruising and ageing techniques necessary to create the illusion of blood, injuries, and aging. The concept of character development will be covered along with instructor demonstrations of applying facial beards and mustaches, and the application of a bald cap. (Prerequisite: Makeup for Film & TV 101)
