At the Center for Film Studies our mission is to ensure that Michigan workers are adequately trained to find work in the emerging Film Industry, and provide a qualified and trained work force to keep that industry thriving here in Michigan. Not only do we pride ourselves on the quality of education we provide but we also work diligently to create long-lasting relationships with producers and filmmakers to connect our students with the job opportunities.
We have modeled the school around the needs of the industry and the needs of thousands of displaced workers here in the state of Michigan. Crew Connection is our exclusive website that makes the connection between our highly skilled & trained students, and the aforementioned production companies.
While we are not a placement service CFS works adamantly to continuously provide opportunities for our graduates. Our counselors are here to help you get your “foot-in-the door” opportunities. By checking Crew Connection regularly and working with our resume coach, graduates have worked on all of the major films in Michigan over the past two years (See Graduate Placement List).

- We provide resources to help you throughout the job-search process including resume coaching and submission of graduate resume’s for internal projects.

- Producers have access to CFS graduates for their upcoming projects through “Crew Connection”.
- Center For Film Studies offers continuous, graduate placement assistance through “Crew Connection” after satisfactory completion of a certificate or diploma program.
